PROMOTION PERIOD: The 4CHANGE ENERGY; Shoot. Upload. Win! (“Giveaway”) starts at 12:00:01 p.m. CT on May 1st, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 a.m. CT on May 31st, 2026 (the “Promotion Period”).
HOW TO ENTER: On May 1, 2026, 4Change Energy will make a Shoot. Upload. Win! Giveaway announcement in the Value Based Brands LLC d/b/a 4Change Energy (“4Change Energy” or “Sponsor”) email newsletter and on 4Change Energy’s Facebook page including details about the Giveaway. To enter, contestants will access 4Change Energy’s landing page and complete the upload form hosted by Shortstack and upload their video testimonial. Contestants can also send an email to promotions@4changeenergy.com and include a link to a testimonial video shared via YouTube, Vimeo, Dropbox, or Google Drive. Their testimonial video can be posted as “public” or “unlisted”.
PRIZES: 4Change Energy will randomly select one contestant for the 3rd place prize according to the rules to win a month of free electricity in the June billing cycle, with an ending meter read date in June as determined by the TDU Meter read schedule of the winner’s residence. A 2nd place prize consisting of a Nest Thermostat, Nest Hub and Wifi Smart Plugs will be awarded to a randomly selected contestant via Shortstack. The grand prize (1st place) will be awarded as a check in the amount of $1,000.
WINNER SELECTION AND ANNOUNCEMENT: On June 1st of 2026 at or after 12:00pm CT, 4Change Energy will choose 1 contestant at random to win a 3rd place prize and 1 contestant at random to win a 2nd place prize via Shortstack’s random entry picker. The grand prize (1st place) of a $1,000 will be awarded to the entry with the most votes via 4Change Energy employees choosing their favorite video submissions. All contestants will be managed and compiled in Shortstack. Limit one entry per person. The time period to submit an entry to this giveaway begins on May 1st at or around 12:00 p.m. when 4Change Energy makes the giveaway post and sends the newsletter and ends on May 31st at or around 12:00pm CT. The winners will be announced with a post on our Facebook page at or after 12:00pm CT on June 1st of 2026. 4Change will provide instructions to the winners to send us a private Facebook message or email to provide their mailing address and other required additional information.
4Change Energy, Facebook and other Giveaway Parties defined below disclaim any liability for damage to any computer or mobile device resulting from participation in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with this Giveaway and are not responsible for printing or typographical errors; incorrect or inaccurate registration information; late, lost, stolen, misdirected, postage-due, illegible or incomplete entries or entries received after the deadline; computer system or phone line errors, software/hardware malfunctions or other errors; data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry materials; or for failures or delays in transmissions that are human or technical in nature. Entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. By entering, all participants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor and judges, which shall be final in all respects. Void outside Texas and where prohibited. Contestants must be current 4Change Energy customers.
ELIGIBILITY: Contestants must include a video testimonial or link to uploaded video testimonials. Video testimonials must be between 30 seconds and 3 minutes in length to qualify. Employees, officers, directors, agents, vendors and representatives of Sponsor and each of their parent companies, respective subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising/promotion agencies involved with this promotion (the “Giveaway Parties”) and the immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings, and their respective spouses) and household members of such persons are not eligible to win. To be eligible for any prize redemption, contestants must not have a past due balance with 4Change Energy. By entering, Contestants agree to comply with these Official Rules.
ODDS: Odds of winning any prize depend on the number of eligible entries received. All prizes will be awarded provided the number of eligible entries received is equal to or greater than the number of prizes available.
PRIZE CONDITIONS: All taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners. Value Based Brands will request tax information and provide a 1099 form for completion. All prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied. Prizes depicted in promotional material issued in connection with this giveaway are for illustrative purposes only and may not represent the actual prize awarded. No substitution, assignment or transfer of any prize is permitted, except at the sole discretion of Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in its sole discretion. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. Limit of one (1) prize per eligible contestant.
PRIZE DRAWING/WINNER NOTIFICATION: There will be two winners (second and third place) randomly selected in a drawing scheduled to take place on or about June 1st, 2026. The contestant selected for the grand prize (1st place) will be selected on June 1st, 2026 and announced on June 1st, 2026. Sponsor will announce the winner on the 4Change Energy Facebook page on or around June 1st, 2026 at 12:00pm CT and we will instruct the winners to send us a private Facebook message or email and request that they provide their account information and additional information. If the announced winners do not contact us at the email address indicated within 72-hours of the announcement, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected. Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for prizes delivered by mail.
RELEASE: By participating in the Giveaway, all contestants and winners, on behalf of themselves, their executors, heirs and assigns, agree to release, hold harmless and indemnify Sponsor, Facebook, and the Giveaway Parties, from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses of any kind to persons or property which may be sustained in connection with the conduct, promotion or outcome of the Giveaway; receipt, ownership or use or misuse of any prize; or while preparing for, participating in or traveling to and/or from any prize-related activity in connection with the Giveaway or otherwise. Under no circumstances will Sponsor, Facebook, or the Giveaway Parties, be liable for punitive, incidental, consequential, or any other damages. Notwithstanding the foregoing, winners are not waiving or releasing any right under any applicable rules or regulations of the Public Utility Commission of Texas governing retail electric providers.
Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Sponsor and Giveaway Parties to use winner’s name, photograph, video testimonial or likeness for purposes of advertising and promotion for Sponsor in any and all forms of media without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. Contestants also agree to allow 4Change Energy to download, store, and edit any and all video submissions.
GENERAL: Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate or suspend the Giveaway or any portion thereof should a virus, bug, malicious tampering, or other cause beyond the control of Sponsor corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Giveaway. In the event of cancellation, termination or suspension, Sponsor will randomly select winners from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to such time.
Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify anyone found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Giveaway or any website hosting the Giveaway, or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules, or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Contestants who submit video entries containing profanity or explicit material will be deemed ineligible.
Under no circumstances will more prizes than those set forth in these full Official Rules be awarded. If a printing, technical or any other error occurs that results in more potential winners than available prizes stated, Sponsor may elect to hold a random drawing from among all eligible potential prize winners to award the number of prizes indicated.
Entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the video testimonial creator. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a contestant, prize will be awarded to the person listed as the primary account holder for the 4Change Energy account number from which entry was received, pursuant to above, subject to eligibility requirements.
Sponsor may modify and amend these Official Rules as they appear online from time to time during the Promotion for clarification purposes without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the Promotion. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or printing errors in the advertising of any prize included in the Giveaway or the Official Rules, website pages or other promotional materials.
CHOICE OF LAW: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of contestant and Sponsor in connection with the Giveaway, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Texas, without regard for conflicts of law doctrine, and all proceedings shall take place in Dallas County, Texas.
FORCE MAJEURE: Sponsor shall not be liable to Winner, or any person claimed through Winner, for failure to supply a prize or any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any government or regulatory agencies’ regulations, orders, actions, or requests, equipment failures, natural disasters (including, but not limited to, earthquakes, fires, floods, tornados, hurricanes or unusually severe weather), labor or material shortages, transportation interruptions of any kind, terrorist acts, riots, civil disturbances, or any other cause beyond Sponsor’s control.
WINNERS’ LIST: To obtain the names of the winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to 4Change Energy, Shoot. Upload. Win! Giveaway, P.O. Box 660361, Dallas, TX 75266-0361 by July 1, 2026.
DATA COLLECTION: Sponsor will only collect the name, email, city, state, zip code, phone number and video file. Please review Sponsor’s privacy policy statement at 4changeenegy.com. By participating in the Giveaway, contestants hereby agree to all of the terms and conditions of the privacy policy of the Sponsor. If you do not wish to receive future giveaway or contest communications from 4Change Energy, please send a written request to 4Change Energy at P.O. Box 660361, Dallas, TX 75266-0361, with your name and email address, and we will remove your email address from future giveaway/contests mailings within 60 days.
FACEBOOK DISCLOSURE: This Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. You understand that you are providing your information to the Sponsor and not to Facebook.
